What if growth could feel resonant, not overwhelming?

You’re navigating complexity—at work, at home, in your own sense of what matters. You don’t need another checklist¹ that might (not) apply. You need a trusted space to think out loud, try things on, and make intentional choices to live in integrity with your values.

Let’s work towards alignment, together.

1—or worksheet, or recommendation, or mass-produced and rigidly structured journal...

A deep breath and a
compatibility check:

I know that choosing a coach is a really big personal and (or) professional decision. I imagine you’re out there considering a lot of options and trying to decide which is the right fit for you. So, I hope this video helps you get a sense of who I am and if I might be a good match to help you reach your goals. I’m also always just a phone call or internet connection away—feel free to schedule a complimentary info call below to get to know me in real-time.

Let's Connect

You’re likely a fit for 1:1 coaching if you’re a high achiever in motion:

A senior leader or team manager navigating an inflection point in your career or organization.

A founder or creative professional rethinking your next chapter.

A lynchpin for your family or community who also cares about meaningful progression in your career.

A purpose-driven career person ready to lead with more alignment and less burnout.

Someone who wants to grow on your own terms—with depth, clarity, and (yes) a little play².

2—Because, fun. And also because the levity and low stakes of play can help us feel safe enough to say something more outlandish than we might otherwise and can therefore lead to stretching ourselves even more.

A man and woman sit at an outdoor table, engaging in conversation. The woman is reaching out to touch the man's arm, with coffee and iced drink on the table. There are green plants and white flowers in the background.

Sometimes all it takes is a pause and a powerful question to think of more innovative solutions and a broader variety of possible actions.

What You Can Expect

Coaching doesn’t give you a generic solution or drown you in ill-fitting advice. It gives you room to pause.

Over the course of our work together, you can expect to:

  • Clarify what success means to you—now, not ten years ago

  • Make aligned decisions without second-guessing yourself

  • Identify (and stop repeating) the stories that keep you stuck

  • Show up in all aspects of your life with more ease, presence, and confidence

  • Lead with clarity—even in uncertain conditions

  • Navigate transitions with both strategy and trust in yourself

  • Design rhythms that support you and the people you care about

  • “I had just stepped into a new role and felt pressure to have all the answers. Coaching with Katy gave me space to admit what I didn’t know and to experiment with new ways of leading, while laughter helped the challenges live in a different place so I could look forward to the work. As a result, I now have less stress, less imposter syndrome, and more self-belief. My team trusts me more because I have the confidence to pause and to really hear what they’re saying, to acknowledge their emotions, and to be transparent about what information we have and don’t. They know that even in the most challenging times, we can move through things together because I’ve learned to be present, not perfect. Coaching with Katy gave this leadership transition the focus and attention I needed.”

  • “Honestly, I was skeptical when I first came to coaching. I thought it might be fluffy or too theoretical. Working with Katy changed that, and I’ve since returned to coaching with her multiple times over the last ten years. She brings sound knowledge, solid training, and real accountability, but also a sense of humor and compassionate understanding that makes me look forward to talking things out together – even when what I’m facing feels messy or hard. Together, we’ve tackled some of my toughest personal and professional leadership challenges—from job searches and changes to family dynamics and, most recently, becoming a parent while continuing my career. Whatever the topic, I’ve gotten concrete results: stronger boundaries, clearer vision, and less stress and worry for me.”

  • “Often before a coaching session I have a number of interconnected ideas, thoughts, and projects all mixed together in my head. After coaching with Katy, my insights and plans are organized into categories with well-defined action-oriented steps to help me get started. The mining for values exercise that Katy led me through in one of our first sessions was truly eye-opening and helped to clarify my non-negotiables as I began my career search. The steady process and consistent work she helped me map out, combined with regularly revisiting what I wanted and why, helped me to switch industries and find a new career that meets my rare mix of requirements. It feels like I captured lightning in a bottle, and Katy played a huge part in helping me get there.”

Associate Vice President of Supply Chain
    Operation Smile

  • “I was constantly saying yes to everything and heading straight toward burnout. With Katy’s support, I was able to step back and refocus on the priorities that matter most for my role and my team. I was reminded that guiding people to the right resources and solutions is often more valuable than jumping in to try to fix an issue myself. I know that boundaries aren't about saying no, they're about creating space for everyone to thrive. Taking care of my own well-being isn't selfish. It’s what helps me be the leader my team needs.”

    GAIL BRANSTEITTER
    Director of Public Relations
    Barefoot PR

  • “I felt stuck. Despite my accomplishments, I was lacking confidence in my skills and knowledge, and I was miserable in my job but didn’t know what would bring back my passion and joy or what else I would be good at – I got overwhelmed just thinking about it. As I told friends, I was going through a mid-life crisis with sugar on top. Through coaching with Katy (and a lot of deep work) I secured a new job that was better suited for me, created new planning and reflective processes that keep me focused, took significant steps toward better health, and learned to listen to myself. I appreciated how comfortable Katy made me feel because there’s real vulnerability in this process. She provided me with additional guidance and support, and was also there to celebrate with me each time I had a new success, which helped keep me going.”

  • “Katy is a masterful coach. She built rapport with me quickly and helped me clarify what success looked like in my own life. Through her insightful questions, she got to the heart of our conversations, drew out what truly motivated me, and inspired me to take meaningful next steps. She went far beyond surface-level coaching. Katy cared deeply about me as a whole person and brought both wisdom and joy into every session. My time working with her was transformative and genuinely fun. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a caring, insightful, and supportive coach.”

*Frequently asked questions worth reading!

  • Coaching is a partnership designed to spark insight and catalyze meaningful forward movement. Unlike consulting or advising, coaching doesn’t offer “the answers.” Instead, we co-create an expansive space for new thinking, where you’re seen as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.

Together, we explore the patterns, stories, and choices that shape your experience—so you can live and lead with more intention and impact.

We’ll slow down just enough to notice what matters most to you, and move forward from there with purpose.

  • Coaching with me offers a committed container designed to hold space for real reflection and sustainable change.

    • Session Duration: 60 minutes

    • Session Frequency: approximately every 2 weeks

    • Engagement Length Options:

      • 3 months (6 sessions)

      • or 6 months (12 sessions)

Engagements include beginning, middle, and end-point alignment exercises and reflection. After an initial 3- or 6-month engagement, clients can continue coaching month-to-month, sign up for an extension package, or schedule individual sessions as they wish.

  • Not necessarily, but it helps. Many clients find the richest sessions happen when they show up with something on their heart or mind—an ongoing tension, a burgeoning dream,  a challenging decision, a feeling they can’t quite name. From there, we’ll clarify what feels most important to you and explore what’s possible. That said, sometimes the most powerful moments arise when clients come in unsure, and we work together to uncover what’s beneath the surface.

  • Each session is adynamic collaboration. Here's the general arc:

    • We’ll begin by landing on a meaningful topic and outcome for our time together.

    • We’ll explore your landscape—thoughts, feelings, patterns, and possibilities—guided by your goal for the session.

    • We’ll close by collecting and augmenting your new insights and identifying significant actions or questions to carry forward.

You’ll leave with new awareness, increased momentum, and a greater sense of trust in yourself.

  • Coaching happens in the sessions, but it comes alive between them. Some clients commit to specific actions or experiments. Others leave with reflection questions or new ways of observing themselves. I’ll never assign homework, but I’ll absolutely help you design it (or even offer a challenge for you to accept, decline, or counter-offer)—if that’s what serves your growth.

  • That’s part of the learning. Your follow-through (or lack of it) tells us something valuable—not about your worthiness, but about what works, what doesn’t, and what’s really going on. There’s no shame here, only curiosity. We’ll work with whatever shows up.

  • I’m here for you, and in our initial session we'll talk about what would best support you in this work. If you'd like, we can align around more connection between or beyond coaching sessions, such as:

    • Quick check-ins via What’s App for voice notes and questions between sessions

    • Select resources curated just for you like podcast episodes, articles, and reflection prompts

    • Leadership enhancements such as Supervisor Alignment Sessions or 360° feedback processes (for clients in leadership or team roles)

  • Not by default. Instead, you’re encouraged to take notes, and to set aside 10–15 minutes after each session to journal, reflect, or capture your insights and commitments. That simple act of integration makes a world of difference.

If you’d like a session recording, summary, and/or transcript, let me know, and we can discuss how to ensure we meet your needs in a way that feels supportive of your overall goals.

  • Yes. Coaching is built on trust, confidentiality, and respect. ICF MCC coaches adhere to the highest standards of ethics, including clarity around scope, consent, and boundaries. My commitment is to hold space for your full humanity—with warmth, attention, and nonjudgment—and your courage to step into that space amplifies the power of the learning.

  • Coaching isn’t advice in disguise. It’s not therapy, consulting, or mentoring—though it may sometimes feel just as deep, strategic, or affirming. At its core, coaching is a thought partnership: a space where you get to slow down, reflect honestly, and hear yourself more clearly. As an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC)⁴, my role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to help you make meaning, see patterns, and move forward with clarity and ownership.

Where consultants bring expertise, mentors offer experience, and therapists explore the past to increase our self-awareness, coaching focuses on your present and your possibilities. We’ll ask: What’s working? What’s ready to shift? What kind of leader (or human) do you want to be now? With MCC-level coaching, you can expect masterful listening, respectful challenge, and tools that help you reconnect to your own wisdom—because ultimately, your life and leadership are yours to design.

This work is not about having all the answers, but about having a space safe enough, focused enough, and expansive enough to find your most resonant ones.

4—The International Coaching Federation (ICF) — the world’s leading organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession — defines coaching as: “Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
